6 months after getting into the sport, JJ was starting to win races and got sponsored by Kyosho Hong Kong as well as World Model Hong Kong. JJ attended the Kyosho Asia Cup and after the race, was invited to join the Kyosho World Cup in Paris, France. Together with his family and coach (Tommy Dai), JJ competed in his first ever international race.
